That’s really weird. It must be a glitch. It must be. It makes no sense to lead with a collection that doesn’t contain that product. I wonder if it somehow got crossed with Other Designs You Might Like.
A long time ago, before the new collections format, One of my most popular products was showing in somebody else’s collection before my collection. At the time, Zazzle said it was a glitch, and they fixed it. I sure hope they haven’t reverted to that again!
I thought I read somewhere (FAQ? comment on another thread? Or was I dreaming?) that Zazzle was only going to show the designer’s own collections under the product, and not affiliates’. I remember somebody asking about that when there was a lot of questions about the new Collections system.
WOW! This is happening to me too! NOT OK. Our collections should always come first, this is crazy!
I appreciate being on someone’s “wishlist” but that collection should never be the first one shown to potential customers. I have that product in two of my own collections that now no one will see.
@MasterpieceCafe and if your item is in more than 3 other creator’s collections - your collection won’t even feature on the product page due the limit of ‘other collections’.
Ok, so it can get worse … I started noticing this the other day and just thought it was some weird glitch because the worst collections were showing. Another one had only 4 products in it so only 3 other products were showing from that “collection.” Which also made no sense since I thought we had to have a minimum of 7 products in a collection?
And I just stumbled on how very different our product pages look when logged in vs not logged in. An extra click to see the templates and all of the relevant info is pushed to the bottom, waaaaaaaaay bottom of the page. Down where no one scrolls to.
I just went through my collections and had to reset many of my products back to their primary collection. No body except for the designer should have the ability to set your items to a “primary collection”. It shouldn’t even be offered as an option. I am happy that people enjoy my designs enough to add them to their own collection(s) but my collections should be the “Primary Collection” designated to them and no outside influence should be able to alter that. Perhaps ya’ll should check your products in the backend of collections and see if any have an exclamation mark in the bottom right hand corner. If so, click on them and set them back to your primary collection.
