Here is why I haven’t been able to kudo various posts, thought it was something I was doing or not doing, but nooooo,  This is what I found—-

Why can’t I give kudos to some messages?

There are a few reasons why you might not be able to give Kudos to a post.

  • You’ve already given Kudos to this message (you can only give them once).
  • You wrote the message (you can’t Kudo your own messages).
  • Your community manager wants you to give Kudos only to a message that starts a thread and not to replies.
  • Your community manager has turned Kudos off for a message or a forum.
  • Your community manager has frozen Kudos for this message. You can still see how many Kudos the message has received, but you can’t Kudo it any more.

So maybe Zazzle should do away with kudos, if we can’t trust the accuracy of the count.

Why does anyone need kudos on posts anyway? Do mods or whoever see the “likes” and give people lollipops or something? No lollipops, no care. The important parts are the questions, the info, and the answers. Kudos mean nothing.

I don’t care as much about the kudos as much as the manipulation of the forum. It’s an overall forum credibility issue.

Stumbled around and accidentally found that I had checked the below box. when I unchecked it, magically the kudos genii let me give kudos. So it was me after all, geez. Excited to have solved it and to share the solve for anyone having the same issue. Woohoo!
Adding to the list of reasons why you might not be able to give Kudos to a post–
Go to–
My Settings>Preferences>Kudos> UNCHECK the box next to “Hide Kudos buttons and counts”
Something so simple to solve yet hard to find, buried in prefs.
