Just ran in to someone’s store that shows “Latest Products Sold”, is it sensible to have this visible?

I can’t think of how it might cause harm.

In your store’s advanced settings, it’s up to you to choose which sections are visible and in what order they appear. The store you mentioned obviously decided that they want to show products sold. This is really a subjective choice, and each store owner will have their own ideas about what works for them.

I have this option enabled; I figure it suggests to the customer that as others are buying from my shop, they should too. Might also get an impulse buy on seeing what others have bought recently.

I currently have it enabled and it’s interesting to see what sells on other stores too. However, I wonder if it’s a downside for relative newbies (myself included) who aren’t seeing quick sales yet, so the same few products will still be showing as the ‘latest products sold’ a while later. But would anyone except the creator notice that?
