So I have been a store owner for over 20 years at Z.
I just realized this, I sold a keychain, the Customer paid 20.38$ or so plus shipping. I had it marked so I could make a 3.23 $ on it or so.. After all new “charges” kicked in. I made .43 cents. Yea .43 cents.
In fact most of my few sales are paying me under 1.00 $ They used to average 2-5 dollars or more It’s almost not worth it anymore ,Now I just forget about the store and let it be. I have to spend more time updating my products than creating more.
Sad because I know many others feel the same way. So Z, you have managed to drive away and frustrate many of us who would otherwise be creating new designs, and being paid fairly, without a bunch of over 10 percent factors, and the rest. You save money now, but it will cost you long-term in customers and designers.
What a shame.

This situation is shameful and unsustainable.

I was always happy to tell people about my store and how Zazzle had the most variety and options for designing products then anywhere else, and they could make a bit of extra money having fun doing what they love. There is no money made here anymore, so I don’t bother, they will just be aggravated by the new tool anyway, and not being paid what they deserve.. Terrible 😠

P.S. I know all our comments or complaints are falling on deaf ears, but I said my piece anyway.

This is how sad it is… There are so many of us that I have already lost count of how many similar posts I have read commented on and even written myself.

I am really sorry. I had my store twice and the second time had more sales. I never expected this to be my second income just something I do for fun, now with the new design tool the fun is mostly gone but I decided to stay afloat anyway and use mobile. I just wanted to say good luck to you, don’t give up.

Exactly it’s an insult what we make here might as well just give it away. Im printing and selling my art on my own now and already took alot of it off Zazzle.

They brought in the hefty new ‘marketing fee’ with vague claims the money would be used to generate sales, yet also encouraged people to set such a low royalty rate that any sales made would only bring in pennies. In addition, it seems most Zazzlers have seen their sales collapse, regardless of royalty rates.
A little communication from Zazzle management would be most welcome.
