Slow indexing is now a regular occurrence here on Z. I’d love to know if this will be our new normal. Will someone at Z being pushing a button once a week to open the flood gates?
It would be nice to know for at the very least those who responds to those posts inquiring about indexing who are not on the Z payroll can say, “Hey, not to worry, Z will push the button on Wednesday.”
My last products to be created that have not indexed up until this time were made on the 14th of Feb.
I have products made on 2/12/25 that still haven’t indexed, and nothing made since then has indexed either. I agree, it seems like the indexing works for about a day and then stops for about a week - every week. I’d hate to think this is “normal” but if they are only indexing once a week now (on purpose) then I wish they would tell us. If it’s not planned, then I really wish they would get it fixed permanently, or at the very least monitor it consistently to make sure it’s working. I love Zazzle and hate to complain, but this has been happening on a regular basis for a few years now and it’s beyond frustrating. It really would be nice to know what is going on.
I agree. I understand there are delays but it seems to be the new trend here. I was trying to reopen a store I had closed (hidden) and so far nothing I created new for it on the 12th for it is indexed yet even though I have unhid the store.
Being a newbie to Zazzle I am very happy I just found this community. I have been wracking my brain trying to figure out how to get these catagory things to work. They just don’t seem to be sinquing with my products. I have been patient as I know I am uploading pretty fast but it is making my new store look bad IMO.
This morning I realized I can just hide the catagories on both my home page and product page so that is what I have done. Seems a bit redundant to have my catalog on both my home page and catalog page but better than empty links. It really is too bad. I spent a lot of time creating thumbnails for each catagory.
Yes, indexing has been slow lately. We are working on a few things from our end at the moment. We were hoping that our updates wouldn’t be having quite as much of an impact on indexing speed as they are now, and we hope to have this resolved as soon as possible. We’re sorry for the disruption that this has caused.
Also, please do not post AI generated content in these forums. The AI post above (which I’ll be removing) is a list of everything that could possibly go wrong, which is so incredibly vague as to be worthless. I’ll be removing this post since it’s unhelpful.
For those that are not aware, I work in the Engineering department here at Zazzle, and one of my many tasks is to monitor the health and performance of our indexing processes. This is a pretty herculean task - one that I usually describe as unclogging a drain - you make a change and then observe results and hope that the water flows out. If the kitchen sink doesn’t clear (or doesn’t clear fast enough) you have to take another look and try again. This is a very different sort of process than the normal bug that we can fix by updating some code and then pushing the fix to a production server and moving on to the next task.
I recently created and published 55 products in my Zazzle store: https://www.zazzle.com/store/nabildesigns , but they are not appearing in my store or the marketplace. I have checked my account, and everything seems to be in order.
I would appreciate any guidance on why my products are not showing and what steps I can take to resolve this issue. Are there any review delays, settings, or requirements I might have missed?
For sure indexing is a long process, but what is really worrying for us, creators, is that it’s longer and longer every time it’s stuck, and improvements are always temporary. Personally, I have nothing indexed since the 11 of February and I don’t remember to have waited that long in the past!
Are your infrastructures really correctly sized to absorb and index the entire flow of new creations?
It’s still an ongoing issue since 2/12 none of the 121 products https://www.zazzle.com/store/chickenluv/products have been indexed so the store looks empty to the public. Surely by now at least some of them should have been indexed. I’ve gotten all the emails saying they are published and should be there in 24 hours but they are not there when viewed as a customer would see them.
