I have the problem that the first photo from my product which is showing in collections, is on default the first photo since a week. It’s not always the best choice, I would like to show the photo I manual chose.

You’ll need to add to the Collection from the backend and not the individual product page.

Thanks for your reply, you’re right from the back end it’s working. But I always added my products from the product page. It’s a hell of a job to change all!

Just want to piggyback and ask that @Zazzle please fix this. I’m glad I found CarolineBM’s post since I add mostly from the product page as well. Having the same problem & it’s January 2023…I see she posted in October 2022. Hopefully there is time now to fix it. Thanks.

I don’t have one because I went to the back end to change the merchandising presence of the products and that fixed the issue. The next time I create, I’ll set the merchandising for a collection from the initial product creation. If it happens again, I will send you a screenshot.
@Mark Yes, I noticed this as well. If a product is added to a collection from the product page it shows the default image regardless of the selected merchandising image. You have to add the product to a collection from your “all products” page. It would be great to have this fixed so it’s always the selected merchandising image.
