Microsoft’s Update Just Broke Our Mockups Creators Need to See This

I just wanted to share info about a major Microsoft update that  a lot of creators are noticing right now. Microsoft didn’t just update Copilot  Bing changed too  and the new model has dropped creators, e‑commerce sellers, and anyone who relies on realistic product mockups. The update is geared toward enterprise use, and it shows. Realistic mockups are basically gone, and we’re left with flat‑lay backgrounds that don’t help much when you’re trying to visualize a Zazzle product in a real setting.

For many of us, this has completely interrupted our workflow. What used to be a quick part of the design process now requires jumping to another generator just to add our product into a scene. It slows everything down, especially for those of us who upload daily or run multiple shops. If your mockups suddenly look different or your prompts stopped working, It’s due to  this update and it hit creators hard.

I wrote a breakdown on my blog explaining what changed and why it matters for Zazzle, Etsy, and other e‑commerce creators. If you’re feeling the disruption too, you might find it helpful.

If you’re looking for a generator that can actually handle your mockups and keep your creator workflow moving, check out Gemini Pro. Look what it created for me this morning  my shower curtain in a bright, editorial bathroom scene. This is the kind of realism creators actually need

@Susang6  My goodness. I had no idea ai could do this. I pay for and use Place-it, which has become very limited, so I will certainly try Gemini Pro. Thank you for sharing this. Love-love the shower curtain.

And yes that’s exactly why I shared it. Place‑it (and Placefil too) are great for quick, premade scenes, but they’re not “type a prompt and generate your own mockup” tools. They only let you drop your design into their existing templates, which is why they feel so limited now.

Gemini Pro is different  it actually creates the mockup scene from your prompt, so you can get editorial bathrooms, lifestyle rooms, flat lays, anything you describe. That’s how I got this shower curtain image.

I think you’ll have fun with it. And thank you again for the sweet words about my curtain  that made my day.

I’ve never used MS Copilot or Bing for mock-ups. I use a combination of PlaceIt, Etsy, and Kittl.

Gemini Pro is the best AI generator available yet, IMO. By far. Using it through Adobe Firefly and dropped all other models for all important generations. The results you get are well worth the 40 Firefly credits you need for 2k generations. Note that the 3.0 Pro version is still better than the Gemini 3.1 version.
