Sold out and temporarily out-of-stock products are marked as discontinued now. So if we choose Product Visibility –> Discontinued, we will get a mix of out-of-stock and really discontinued products, all marked as discontinued.
It concerns Air fresheners, Cornhole sets, Low-Top Sneakers, Visor hats
to mark the few.
Please, Zazzle, fix the issue.

Yes, this has been the situation for a while. I think the permanently discontinued items are in red, and the temporary ones are in orange. (But don’t quote me on that!)
It would really help to know which is which ! For example “tank tops” say discontinued…and I have many. I’d change to another tshirt design if I knew for sure they were gone… Have we heard an ETA for this fix? 
The easiest way to see from the backend Product page if the product is truly discontinued is use the Actions drop down underneath the questionable product. If the options are Edit Details & Delete & Transfer This Design than the product is out of stock.
If the Actions are Delete and Transfer This Design than the product is truly discontinued.

This is still happening with some products. Journals and foil wrapping paper sheet sets both say “Discontinued” on the back end, but “Out of Stock” on the sale page.
