More Store details on Home page

Here’s a thought, instead of having so much News, like “More Creator News” on the sidebar of the Home page. Give us details about our Store, so that we’re not wasting time, clicking around so much. For instance, How many overall products do I have? How many collections are in this store? How many products are hidden as of today? How many categories are in this store?

Does anyone else wish there was a good dashboard for us as creators here? If you can think of anything you wish for on the Home page, please add it. I’m curious if anyone else thinks like me on this. TIA

Not sure if this falls under the same category or not, but my biggest wish in this respect is that we had some way to query our product page by collection. I know I can open the collection and get at all of the products that way, but I’d dearly love to be able to sort a collection by most sales or views etc. so I can see how different products within the collection are faring.

Yes, that would be nice.

Hi all,

Thank you for your feedback. I forwarded your suggestions to our Creator and Platform Teams to review.

Yes, the dashboard should deliver me more “designer” related things. We are not the simple customers and would need to use this platform differently.

Even if this stage hase to stay, would love to see another arrangement and a more related selection of what is new, what are products related things. Now it is a waste of space and time to get this page and use it for … nothing. The most news are old after one reading, but, insights about my shops or sold out informations or … at least all other things would help me more.

Yes, I agree. Once the news is read…it becomes old and useless to us. And I agree once again on “a more related selection of what is new”! Great ideas.

There are two different types of “consumers” here…Customers and Creatives. Once you start building a store, you should be classified as a Creative, a side step beyond customer. And having the ability to see a dashboard, creates a good transition into building upon better analytics, better business branding, and ultimately better stores.

Yes! I agree with this also, and I think I’ve asked for also on collections as well. I can’t remember what, but a good dashboard that can do this too, would be awesome!

There are at least four distinct user groups here, and I think the platform needs to take every single one of them into account. It feels like the core issue right now is that the entire focus has shifted solely to the “end customer,” which inevitably creates friction.
Here are the key groups as I see them:

  • End Customers: People who actually want to purchase a physical printed product. Their behavior also varies drastically depending on whether they’re shopping on mobile or desktop, which makes a huge difference.

  • Designers and Creators: The majority of us here on the forum, bringing unique artwork, distinct styles, and niche appeal to the marketplace. Creator, like photographers.

  • Affiliates & Online Marketers: This is a separate group that requires dedicated tools and shouldn’t just be lumped together with creators. They drive sales through links and promote other people’s products. We should have better ways to collaborate with influencers so they can market our designs for an affiliate commission.

  • Official Brand & Licensed Merchandise: A completely different tier that operates under entirely different rules—universities, non-profits, political campaigns, or major established artists selling merch. Even within this bucket, a university store has vastly different needs than a global brand or a touring band.

Trying to cram all these diverse groups into a one-size-fits-all model just doesn’t work.

You’re right. Very good observation that I haven’t thought of, and very good ideas here to think about. :+1:
