My solutions totals, after the latest accepted solution are incorrect. Please fix. Thank you. Already had a mod months ago delete 10 kudos, then said could not fix their accidental deletion.
see screenshots showing the correct solution totals and incorrect totals listings. Btw, this has never happened before. Under my name, the total number of solutions is 85, which is correct. Clicking on latest conversation, it shows total of 75, deducting 10 solutions, after what should have been adding 1 to the earlier today total of 84, which should now show total of 85. The total solutions for the other shops are all correct, btw.
I have been devoting an extreme amount of timevolunteering here on the forum, trying to help out other shops. This is very disheartening.
@Megan
yes, just checked again, still seeing the discrepancy.
it started today, after I received the latest solution which should have increased it from 84 to 85. Instead it took away 10, and dropped it to 75, see the screenshots from earlier.
@Megan
Thank you for responding.
“morning has broken”, so has the solution counter, now instead of the solution number reading 85, it has GONE DOWN even further, to 68. All other shops solutions are still correct. (Day two,) Really extremely disappointed with this situation. Screenshot:
If it make you feel any better, I see 85 solutions for you on both my laptop and mobile.
I’m very curious though what/where this Latest Conversation page is that you’re showing in your screenshot. It appears from the time/date and battery symbol at top that you’re viewing it on a mobile device, but I can’t find such page anywhere, even when I typed in the URL as shown in the screenshot.
@ColsCreations
The number fluctuates. Go to latest conversations, then on the right side column you should see top solution authors, earlier today as in the screenshot, it was showing 68 instead of 85. Of course right now you are seeing the correct number in that column because presently it is showing 85, . And yesterday it was alternating between 75 and 85 during the day. It started changing to the incorrect number in that column yesterday morning when my latest solution increased from 84 to 85.
it was reported by Megan mod yesterday to tech, they will handle i Included the most recent screenshot for Megan to pass along to tech.
The link you tried to use would be me logged in, when I took the screenshot to send to Megan Mod.
Thanks for checking, tho.
The page shows 85 when I’m logged in, and 68 when I’m logged out.
The page is a bit unique because it will show a running feed of the newest discussions, and the information that it shows is dependent on your permissions. If you’re logged in as a Platinum Pro you’ll see all sorts of stuff, but if you’re logged out you’ll see only the basic discussion boards.
idraw, I understand that this means a great deal to you, but please understand that there’s only so much that we can do with the existing toolset.
@Scott @Megan
Scott, dislike contradicting your reply, but it was wrong. See current screenshot. Earlier today it was correct at 85, but changed again just now.
As you can see, I am VERY CLEARLY logged in. And again the solution number is incorrect, please don’t dismiss my concern.
Given the strong feelings toward the count being incorrect, I’ve gone ahead and hidden the whole pod until I have a chance to give this a deeper look. That’s the most that I can do at this time. If I can find a way to reproduce the number changing in my testing environment then I’ll send this over to our software provider for their review.
Hiding the pod shorted out the synapses in part of my brain when I couldn’t find the sidebar, then I found and read your post.
From my pov, it’s more about the forum software possibly having a weird “hitch in its giddy up” than strong feelings about an incorrect count. In my profile the total continues to be correct, the lower count problem randomly appears during the day in the top solution authors sidebar, and that total seems to drop more each day.
What is extremely puzzling is that it doesn’t affect the other shops counts, just mine.
Logically due to coding it should affect all the shops totals equally.
I am basically more into trying to figure out the “why” of it and resolve a fix if necessary, in case it’s a precursor of future forum problems. Btw, for me the odd count on the sidebar started when my count went from 84 to 85. Everything seemed to be copacetic until then.
I too have been testing on my side to diagnose and eliminate browser and computer issues on my end of this. Doing the clear cache, close browser, restart Mac, login, etc.
lf I recall correctly, since there is a different company (the software provider?) handling the new forum, I can understand why it would be more difficult to sort this out. Maybe it will fix itself, right? .
Thanks, Scott, much appreciated.
The number fluctuates. Go to latest conversations, then …
That’s what I was asking. Where are you finding this “Latest Conversations” scroll as shown in your screenshots? I’ve clicked all over and can’t find such page. Is it a mobile-only page?
