Need more flexibility in department tree and what can be added to collection

Currently, I’m trying to categorize existing RSVP cards into a Wedding collection and fill the “RSVP” and “Enclosure” slots. 

I have made several of these which currently appear down in the “bonus products” section. I have selected a general RSVP card from the “Invitations” department tree. 

When an item like an RSVP, enclosure card, envelope, or even table signs and signage could be used at a wedding AND bridal shower AND general party, do we now HAVE to make multiples of the exact same design in order for them to appear in each department tree in order to be able to be sorted correctly in each collection? 

It would be nice to have some flexibility in this type of sorting. Without creating masses of multiple identical products just to fit department trees.
