QUESTION: Is there a way for Zazzle support to remove or disassociate reviews on a product page that do not have anything to do with that specific product?
I can understand how it can be beneficial to show a positive star rating next to a product a designer is selling - even if the majority of them do not pertain to that specific product but to the general product type only…
BUT, the inverse is also true: If a one star or low rating is showing based on reviews not left specifically for a designer’s product. This can most definitely not inspire customer confidence to purchase and impact sales negatively.
None of the reviews actually pertain to my wax seal stamp in this example, and having a 1 star rating featured at the top is a terrible way to inspire a customer to buy and will most likely turn them off from purchasing.
Zazzle, can this be resolved somehow on a case by case basis if a designer writes in about it?
Zazzle will not remove any reviews. Their reason is complete transparency and helping customers which is illogical. A shopkeeper does not manufacture, print, choose or ship the product. To allow a negative review about this blaming the seller is the opposite of transparency. It also does not help customers because they believe a falsehood and will make choices based on that falsehood. That is clearly not helping the customer.
One customer left this as part of their review: “I expected the product to actually resemble the images shown. It is misleading to use photos with glitter and dimensional accents, then include a small, easily missed message saying those elements aren’t part of the actual product. If the real item doesn’t have those features, the listing shouldn’t display them - Zazzle should not allow a seller to use ‘doctored’ images to get someone to buy a product that looks nothing like that.”
This product has only Zazzle preview images, not cover photos created by me! The customer is inferring that I’m the one trying to mislead them. This is actually a false review and eludes to deformation of character.
Ok, just discovered a good solution for the wax seals to show the mix of higher positive star reviews (rather than only showing the 3 negative reviews):
Edit your product details.
Under the left side Category tab, under Events and Occasions drop down menu, select only “Occasions”not Occasions > Weddings & Engagements
This small change did the trick for my to stampers showing a negative star ranking up by the product pricing…
