I really wish we can delete posts. Sigh.

Zazzlers used to start topics, then if they changed their minds or didn’t like the answers, they deleted their initial post. The forum was then left with a bunch of posts that made no sense. It’s been this way for years because of that. I happen to think it is an improvement.
I can see both sides of this topic. Yes, deleting a post can interrupt the flow of a thread, but allowing folks to delete new posts where nobody has replied wouldn’t cause an issue. Maybe the ability to delete posts should have a time limit attached to them — similar to the ability to edit posts. Then both issues would (mostly) be addressed.

I could see that being an issue. Maybe if the technology already exists, they could make it where if there are no replies it could be deleted, if posted within like 10 minutes or something reasonable.
