I just created my first cover image for an entire collection last night, and it looks like it’s been stretched vertically. Has anyone else had this happen? This is what I’m talking about:
It looks fine in the backend, it’s only when I try to share it looks like this. The other images in the cover are fine, just the main one looks like it’s been on the rack, lol.
I was hoping this issue would get resolved, but It seems like it has not yet. I have two collections with stretched images and it disrupts the consistent cover-photo style I have created for my collections ☹️
@MissPaperFarm I had a couple with distorted images. I created new collections - transferred the items over and then deleted the borked collection - was quicker than waiting for a fix
I went with your idea and deleted the collections with stretched images, made new collections, and that worked! However, it seems Zazzle is doing tech work on collections because now I can’t see all the products in my collection on the edit page! Also, the enable for the marketplace tab keeps saying “needs attention” in red letters and it’s not very clear to me why.
@MissPaperFarm There are certain cross sell collections that have been updated with additional slots so the red attention may mean that you need to add additional products?
Thank you, this actually solved the issue 😁 I had the collections on cross sell but that wasn’t my intention. When I changed them to just similar theme, that fixed it!
An update on my original issue. After experimenting with substituting existing cover images from other collections that originally looked ok, but ended up looking stretched too when added to the collection I had the issue with, I finally resolved the issue by experimenting with different image sizes, and finally got it working. I re-created the cover image (that was originally at 1480x1480) to a larger size of 2643x2643 and voila, it worked! No more stretched image. 👌
