New Doormat InSitu Photos Not Accurate When Changing Size

I stumbled upon the new doormat insitu photos this morning and decided to update some of mine.

First, there were several designs with borders that didn’t work with the offered dimensions so I needed to create the large and small version. However now there are five sizes (not sure when the other three became available, whether it was recent or a while ago).

Second, I changed the size of one of these doormats and the insitu pics are off so I tried to go into the design tool to see how everything lined up there however it won’t load properly.

Anyone else experiencing this?

I’d be careful changing over to the new types - I’ve just done one and now it says it’s no longer available https://www.zazzle.com/funny_black_and_white_cat_face_custom_quote_pet_doormat-256294594398574010

@Sara_H   Hopefully, this is an indexing issue and they will come back in a short while.:crossed_fingers:

@BKMuir  Hope so - going to give it a couple of days then change it back if it doesn’t appear

I just went to check out the new in situs and sizes and immediately noticed a white border on mine that wasn’t there before. I thought the bleed lines must have changed a bit but no - the About this Product info says, for all sizes, that the mats now have a “white edge bounding”.

For the first two flat previews this is not visible because the background is white. But you can clearly see the new white edging in the two in situs. Depending on your design this could be good or bad. (A quick browse through the MP and I saw some mats I thought actually looked better with the white edging border, made them “pop” more.)

:warning:  But what this means is that all the self-made covers are no longer accurately showing the product as they don’t have the white edging in them. :warning:

Thanks for that. I so love *love* redoing cover photos :joy::rofl::joy:  now I wish there was a store backend drop down option - ‘remove cover photo’

Thanks for the warning @Sara_H  hopefully it’s been indexed by now

I noticed the white border edging too @ColsCreations  and yes, it does change the look for good or bad. I also needed to adjust a few patterns because suddenly small bits of the pattern design were now within the bleed lines so the edge no longer looked clean.

Good point about the cover photos.

@Sara_H  Yes, a store backend drop down option to bulk remove cover photos would be very useful.

Hi all,

I have passed this on to the team now and will update the thread once we have an update.

Nope it hasn’t @Laura   - I change it back to a normal size

I’m sorry. It just was confusing to me when I went to look at others in the MP after checking mine because there were no borders at first then borders when clicking to view and then :light_bulb:, it’s because the pics I was seeing in the MP all were covers so you don’t see the border until you click into the product page and look at the other previews.

@Sara_H Right, I checked my two items that I switched to curved doormat and saw they were actually no longer available, so remade them and officially deleted them.

@BKMuir  I saw they were not available - maybe one day :slightly_smiling_face: I changed my back to a normal one and it reappeared

Update 5/23:
In addition to my own I checked a bunch in the MP and the white border is no longer showing in any of the preview images even though the product description still says they have a “white edge bounding”. Do we know for sure yet which way they actually are - with or without the visible white edging?
