Well, this changes everything! Big Red Banner - You don’t have permission to create content for this domain. To use this domain, you must first verify domain ownership in your business settings. I have 6 tabs open trying to find a work around and it’s beyond me. Recently I got an email from Pinterest asking me if I needed my old Pinterest business account or would I like to delete it? I chose to delete it, I don’t know if these 2 things are linked or not?
I am also getting this message
Just stopping by to say…me too…Only I have the added twist of being told I am also not connected to the internet…Yes I’m connected. ☹️
I recently got this email too. I have several Pinterest business accounts, but I only got the message regarding one account. I don’t know. I converted it to a personal account.
I was able to work around the glitch by:
1.Create a manual pin (don’t put link in it yet)
-
Save the pin
-
Go back in to edit
-
Put the url in the website box
Otherwise I get the same message as other people are getting.
yes same here big red banner saying verify your business
yes same here cannot pin onto it
Thank you for sharing this work-around. Although it adds another step, it does work! I was just now able to pin a new product by first creating a manual pin with the pin image, title and description. I left the URL blank and saved the pin. The pin successfully saved and I was able to open the newly created pin and add my product url.
I also can’t post anything on Pinterest,…
I am unable to do this–or maybe I can’t figure it out. On my Pinterest boards, there is no space to add a Pin, it seems I can only do it by sharing. Am I just missing something obvious? Do I need to switch to a personal account on Pinterest?
Apparently just in the past few days Business Accounts have been progressively gotten locked down in a way that prevents people who have a business account from linking to any accounts other than their own blogs or websites. There is no clear guidance that I can find on Pinterest about this. It sounds as though they are going to get stricter and stricter. I guess I will open a separate personal account and use that for direct pins from Zazzle while only linking to my own website (which has an RSS feed from Zazzle) from the business account. I’ve heard business accounts get some sort of priority or better exposure, so will probably keep one like that an a separate one. But I really don’t know what to do now. I am so bummed!
I’ve just used the ‘share’ product to Pinterest and it’s working… yay! It’s working for now at least so enjoy it while you can.
The share function seems to be working again. I was able to share mugs to Pinterest a couple hours after that post.
I also just tried it through my scheduling app and it worked as well. Yay! So it was definitely on Pinterest’s side then.
It’s working now!
Worked for me now too, even with a business account. Still concerned it’s going to come back, but for now it’s good. Disturbing not to have clearer information on this.
I researched pinterest and figured it out. Published a blog post and shared on Facebook group where you are a member. It’s one of my groups, but in case you missed it …here is the link to my POD blog
I read it was a glitch on pinterest end, and I tried to switch back to business and still can’t do that. I am getting the popup for “must verify my domain” So what did you do ? (no business account for me for 3 days)
Yes it seems that it was a glitch somewhere along the looooong line of the internet. All was well the following day.
