Hi James,

Not sure if there is a thread for this new launch… I didn’t find any in your post above :slightly_smiling_face:

The invitations look gorgeous in Zazzle’s YouTube product launch video. Unfortunately, in each product page preview video, the foil is very difficult to see—so much so that I’m struggling to design invitations because it’s unclear how the foil will appear over certain background colors.

Is the foil finish on invitations similar to that on the foil guestbooks? I have several guestbooks in different colors, and their preview images provide a much clearer idea of how the foil looks. However, when I try designing an invitation with the same color I used on a guestbook, the foil text is barely visible in both the preview video and images. To make the foil visible on invitations, I find I need to use much lighter background colors than I did for the guestbook.

So my question is: is this just a limitation of the preview images and video (hopefully soon to get fixed), or is the foil on invitations actually lighter compared to the guestbooks? I’ve included images below as examples.

Without a clear idea of what each foil design looks like, I wonder if I’m creating designs where the foil won’t look clear and crisp, and your input would be greatly appreciated.

Another concern is that since the foil isn’t showing clearly in previews, customers may hesitate to purchase—especially given the higher price of these invitations.

Thanks in advance for your help clarifying this!
