I’ve just noticed this “Templates” option in the design tool. When selected, it brings up a window full of similar designs for customers to go to! Is this new? I’ve never seen it before.

That’s interesting. Do you see it when you are signed in? And is it only for baby showers?
I went to invitation blanks and didn’t see it so it must be an A/B test.

I can see it on lots of different products. So far, I’ve seen it on business cards, wedding invitations, birthday invitations and cards, and badges.
One time it said “No results found, try searching again”.
I’m seeing it when I’m signed in.

So, in essence, the customer —after deciding they want your product — are offered other choices? What logic is there to that? Zazzle already has a sale, why make it more confusing for the customer?

@VivianD117 That’s what I thought 😔! Additionally, when you select one of the choices, that template appears on the design area, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to return to the original design if you change your mind.

So now we know why they were testing opening everything in a new window… I don’t see it yet .

@SheaPrints that’s an issue for sure . . . on top of – what value does it have in the first place.

It seems the value would be to ensure zazzle gets a sale, even if it’s not the original designer’s work that brought them to the site.

I saw it last week in the design tool and it disappeared after a couple of days. I tried using it and it worked. Every time you close and then open the design tool again you get different templates and it’s just random templates that pop up. It’s probably another A/B test.
