Not able to sort by departments or categories

I’m trying to get my shop organized and am having difficulty. When I create new products, I list them always as new products. But the newest products I created earlier this week don’t show up at all in new products. I’m not able to change it to get them to show up in all products editing mode. 

I also can’t seem to change the categories these items are listed in and again the new stuff isn’t showing up, other than in collections. 

Also, when I go to view public storefront, and click all products, all my products don’t show–many are missing. Can anyone help? Thanks!

It may take upto 72 hours for new products to appear in your store front (maybe longer if the indexer is on a go slow - I’ve had to wait 5 days before now) and any changes you make to the categories also takes ages to sort itself out.

Patience is key when you’re a zazzler :slightly_smiling_face: 

Make the changes as needed and wait. It’ll sort itself out eventually
