My notifications says I made 8 sales three hours ago but nothing is showing up on my history. Is there lag time or which one is right?
Clarify - you got an email notification? Or you are looking in your earnings summary? If you mean you got an email- those don’t come right away… they usually aren’t sent until the sale is shipped and are likely old sales. If you mean you have 8 sales in your earnings summary and they aren’t in the royalty history yet, yes sometimes there is a little lag. It’s not usually more than a few minutes, but it can be longer.
Also, if you are in the promoter program, it could possibly be $.0 referrals that happen if someone comes in on your link and buys someone else’s product. That would show “sales” or rather, an uptick in your earnings report but you won’t see anything in your royalty or referral history.

The notifications is when I click on my logo at the top and then it gives me a list of notifications, messages, etc.
And the royalty history is what I’m comparing it to
Not sure what you are seeing… as far as I know there’s no sales notifications there… I’m pretty sure that’s just forum stuff. Are you seeing ‘kudos’? Those are this forum’s version of likes.
No not forum. if you go to the actual Zazzle site and exit the forum. On the upper right corner is your logo. If you click on it it takes you to a list with notifications, account, messages, etc
There’s no link in the drop-down for notifications, not in my list anyway. It does have a link to go to Earnings, however, Is that what you’re referring to? If so, I just made a sale, but it wasn’t indicated on the drop-down. I found it by going to Earnings.
Looks like it’s an a/b test (Scott confirmed) - It would appear some people may be seeing notifications in their drop down not only here but over at their stores too. Sorry - but I can’t see it, so I’m not sure how it works or what info it provides.

Mystery solved. 
The notifications only appears on my phone not my computer and it keeps telling me I’m making more sales than I’m getting paid for. Anyway I’m sure the Zazzle team is awesome and they will look into it
I believe there’s an announcement coming to explain a bit more about the Notifications feature, but in the meantime:
The “you have a sale” or “XYZ store has made 4 sales” notification is meant to be a periodic notification. It’s not meant to be sent in real time or anything like that. We do see the issue that @Es1 mentioned above, and we’re reviewing what might be happening here.
