Inside the design tool, after making the elements templates, be sure “allow editing on product page” is checked.

Allow editing on product page is highlighted. I contacted zazzle thru email on saturday maybe this week they can get back to me. It’s just the business cards that don’t have personalized button on after creating template. I was able to create a graduation invitation with no problem. Hoping to get these business cards out soon

Can you share a link to one so maybe someone can spot the problem while waiting for an official Z response? (They’ll need a link to an example too anyway)

@tearose22

Zazzle has responded so i sent them the link.

Oh, right! I just thought I was going mad, and it entirely stopped my creation of customizable products for a week. I went back to easy “stock” items that people might want to buy. (I always start a store with a bunch of cheaper, non-customizables like that.)

I noticed this too, and just thought it was a direction Zazzle had gone in for designing products. That you have to publish first via the sell button before you can test the Personalization button area works okay.

I’ve got a sticker stuck in my Saveds at the moment, after spending a bunch of time messing about with Text and URL parameter fields in the template object part of the designer; I thought I had done something wrong, by copying a sticker that worked and just switching out the image.

But with a biz card that took me 3 hours to get lined up and looking okay, I figured I wasn’t going to just let it fester in the invisible, unpublished Saved designs. So I pubbed it anyway, thinking I’d just delete it and try again if the Personalization fields didn’t work nicely.

Glad it sounds like a bug - and THANKS(!!) for reporting it to Zazzle. I hadn’t even thought about that. Lol. Thought it was *me* doing something wrong. Then thought it was just a change Zazzle was implementing. Ho hum. Totally random that I happened to be working on stickers and biz cards, so when it happened on both, I assumed it was happening on ALL products. Just unlucky timing I guess. Ha ha.

Hi @tearose22 ,

Sorry to hear about this issue. I have not been able to replicate this myself so if you could pass on an example that would be great.

As @ColsCreations  mentioned above, please make sure allow editing on product page is set to on.
