I opened the Pinterest app on my phone (Android) today and was met with a message that we can now create videos of a Board to share. I tried to follow the prompts but didn’t understand what I was looking at and when I clicked Done, I couldn’t find any way to view whatever the result was so didn’t want to try sharing it to any of the default options like Facebook or I think Insta or specific Pinterest followers were on there too as options.
Once I got home and fired-up the computer to access Pinterest from my web browser, I couldn’t find any option for this new feature so maybe it’s only a feature from the mobile app?
Has anyone else seen this/done this, and have an example of the output video and where/how they shared it?
@ColsCreations@CreativeLeahG Yes and no. Nothing to see for me on the laptop either just a few minutes ago but then again trying it with my iPhone I got the same message as Col did and after I had picked a board Pinterest created a video for me. Zazzle doesn’t allow me to upload it here so I will upload it in a bit to my website for you to see. It’s super short but kinda need. I like it.
PS: It’s coincident but Pinterest picked Edna, the Goose to start this video and Edna was a goose in South San Francisco who had nested on our boat. She had laid four eggs of which three hatched. I took a million photos of our houseguests that year, smile.
Thanks for figuring it out and providing an example.
I’m going to try again from my phone, but, I’m not sure where these would be useful? Are they supposed to be used as Pins on Pinterest? I understand using it to link to a board of related products, but if you’re promoting/affiliating outside of Pinterest, what’s the point of sending people first to a Pinterest board where they then have to click-through to the source instead of just linking direct to the source? Gott’a think on this some more.
