Pinterest Pinning

Do you make a separate board for pinning other people’s stuff or do you mix it in among your own stuff?

If it fits the boards theme, I mix.  Most people never see the board anyway…

How do I create a board?? I’ve been searching around in my Pinterest account for around an hour and I can’t find it.

I do not even know HOW to find a board that a pin is on. This maybe be because I use Pinterest on iPad. I a not sure how anyone would ever know how to follow a board.

Same here, wasted so much time figuring out how to create a board and finding the boards I already have. Pinterest is very confusing and not user friendly. I’m on a laptop so I don’t think it’s a device issue

Thanks, their help pages are very confusing as well

What they show is different than what I see…

I have a business account.

I go to the main page.  I click the saved button shown below my icon and description.  I scroll down a little and look to the right side of the page, just above the first row of pins.  There is a plus sign there.  Click that and you will be given options.  One of which is to create a board.

Hope that is more helpful…

If you are still looking, this screenshot may help. Press the circled plus sign and you will get option to create a board. This is on the app on my iPad. I find that Pinterest looks very different when not using the app. And then, in answer to how to FIND your own boards, click on SAVED, rather than CREATED, which appears in white on this screen shot.

Thank you! What I was doing to make a board is go to the top drop down menu and make a board from the “create a pin” section

Thank you

I have another question, are we still able to re-pin others’ pins? I can’t seem to see that option anymore

I find that I can save someone else’s pin to my board. My SAVE button works for that and is found at the top right of the page.

I created a commercial account for my store (where I have almost no followers) and my personal account. I pin my products on my commercial account and then I repin them from my personal account (specially on collaborative boards some people put me into). I also have a “Zazzle Inspiration” board on my commercial account to pin from others and maybe earn something as an affiliate (never happened LOL). Maybe on my personal account it would be more efficient, but I focus more on creation, because affiliate cookies don’t last forever, but my own designs do.

For those who are currently pinning, have you noticed that there have been zero impressions on new PINS in the last couple of days? I know this happened one other time within the year but don’t see anything in searches about an issue.

@PAZP  YES! I have zero impressions on every single one of my most recent pins.

Thanks for the response. It’s a bit odd that my overall impressions increased but all those new pins are zero. Let’s hope Pinterest rectifies this quickly.

I didn’t know that you can have more than one pinterest account, what’s the difference between business and personal. I have a business account and it doesn’t get much of anything, rarely any views at all.

Same issue today. Although ONE of the pins which had been showing zero views now shows a few views. I don’t know if this is a counting issue or a showing issue. Maybe people are seeing my pins but the counter is not functioning. Or maybe no one is seeing the pins.

Business account allows you to see some analytics. I think I have about five pinterest accounts, each started under different emails for very different purposes over the years. I only use two of them now.
