would like to be able to read topics with new replies. Presently the only sort by newest option is for topics, not replies. Things will otherwise get buried very quickly
I was going to ask for the same thing. In areas like Show Me where threads can stay active for years, it will become rather un-user-friendly fast if we can only sort by date of original post and not by most recent reply/addition to it.
Interesting, yeah. I’ll look into this one.
Yes! It helps to keep active threads at the top.
In the meantime (while this is under consideration)
If you subscribe to a thread that interests you, you will get a notification for every new post.
This should be fixed now.
Nope, not fixed for these “ideation” style boards. This does work fine with the other type of board. Argh!
Love this suggestion. The indicator we had before on a forum to show that there were new posts was helpful. So on the main page where all forums are listed - could we show which have new posts?
@Scott I came here to complain about the Feedback & Suggestions forum only to discover the problem has already been noted. As just happened to me, I had to click each of the categories to find each of the new or newly replied-to threads. Hope you can work it out.
The issue corrected on all discussion boards except the two Feedback boards (Community Feedback and Feedback & Suggestions). I hope to have those pages updated soon.
Is it at all possible to change the Feedback boards so they default to Recent? If an idea is “hot,” it means a lot of people are responding, which in turn should mean it naturally shows up at the top. In line with this, when ordering things according to Recent, when a thread is opened and then closed, returning to the board sets it back to Hot. If there’s much more than a page of threads, I get tired of all the clicking and scrolling or don’t even see there are more unread threads and so leave, probably missing things.
Maybe it’s just me.
We’re still working on refinements in this area. More updates to come in the future.
