The Zazzle design center is user friendly and perfect as-is. Ever hear the saying, “if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it?”
I previewed the new design center and it is confusing. Do not like it. Please leave it as-is! Otherwise it will be way worse, not better.
The current USER FRIENDLY design center that currently exists, is tremendous, terrific and PERFECT AS-IS. Why on earth would Zazzle want to ruin it with an entirely new twisted up, design center that creators have to relearn?? Please, no! The current USER FRIENDLY and perfect design center is the best thing that Zazzle has going compared to other print on demand sites. I have an idea, instead of messing up the current wonderful design center, please give creators a royalty increase (bring back former royalties) instead of decrease. Just an idea.
I had a chance to try the new design tool too, and I honestly didn’t enjoy the experience. I never did find a way to remove the white background, and the learning curve felt unnecessarily long. I ended up going back to the current design tool because it’s straightforward and has everything I need. I’m not sure why Zazzle is pushing a redesign when the existing tool works so well. If they have extra resources to spend, I’d much rather see them lower the fees they charge creators for ads or revisit the royalty structure. Like you said if something isn’t broken, there’s no reason to fix it

Agree with everything said regarding royalties, and the design tool!
I also clicked on the new design tool the other day, but then quickly unclicked it to keep the old “current” design tool that I’ve liked a long time, which is much more user-friendly, easy on the eyes, and less steps overall to get to what you need to do.
And while we’re talking about keeping the design tool unchanged, can we also go back to the previous way of selecting fonts? The new version is NOT an improvement.
Are you referring to the new customer interface? I think the new version is great for customers, but the design tool (for creators) looks exactly the same to me. Maybe I’m missing something, or maybe it’s an A/B test. Can somebody post a screenshot?

I haven’t had the chance to see it; it must be available to some designers, but it seems that, in general, people don’t like it. At least, all I see are complaints, and this worries me because if we agree on its difficulty, it won’t be by chance. I’ll have to wait a bit before I can curse it…
What I am speaking of is the horrible new design center for creators/designers. I was able to preview it. It sucks to high heaven. The current design center is perfect and needs no redesign.

You are 100 percent correct. Every time Zazzle pays some computer geeks money to tweak the design center and make changes, things get worse, not better. This time they are planning to make us relearn an entirely new design center that sucks and us NOT user-friendly like the current one. The current design center most of us love and are accustomed to. Let’s hope that Zazzle changes it’s mind and leaves our design center AS-IS.

Instead of paying computer geeks to RUIN our design center, and make us relearn it on our own dime and our own time., please give us some of our royalties back and let us keep our current design center.
Well stated. My sentiments exactly! Instead of giving big bucks to computer geeks to SCRAMBLE our design center, and make things way harder for us, just give us some of our royalties back for our creativity, hard work, and many hours spent designing.

I’ll be the voice of dissent…I actually like it other than having to learn where everything is, which happens any time anything changes.
Oh dang, I hope it says optional! While the new tool is fine for the customers who are making far less changes on average, it is a pain for us as designers. We shouldn’t have to click on several more spots to get the same thing we used to be able to do immediately on the right side all in one. Stroke, lettering, line spacing etc. will all take additional steps to get to with the new. That additional time adds up.
