Please fix. Products are being auto populated with "Harry and Olivia" and a new date. Why?

@James_H
I am providing design advice in the baby shower products niche for my clients doing a challenge. Every item that I click on to personalize the design (like what a customer would do) the new changes cause auto populating of the names “Harry and Olivia”. This is a huge issue.

It uses “Harry” if there is one name in one “slot” for the name (even in a phrase of text. See first example) and “Harry and Olivia” if there are two names. Is this happening everywhere?

Also, the date and the format changes.

See images below. I did not make any changes. I just opened the tool and these parts of the sample text changed automatically.

Either way it’s misleading, frustrating, and confusing for customers.

Why are different names, and dates (even out of date dates), being added by AI? And even the format of the date has been changed once the customer is on the design tool interface.

The designer has already added an appropriate sample name and date / format on the design when they posted the product for sale.

So now you have instances where it’s a female name on the design and it is replaced with “Harry” when the customer sees it on the design tool page. WHY???

This is causing the customer to see less than ideal versions of carefully curated designs while they are adding their information.

This is an issue that will result in higher cart abandonment.

Please take this feature off. It is more hinderance than helpful.

I’m guessing this is related to the ‘moments’ thing. I think it was reported by another user and they asked that designers can opt out of it. Let me see if I can find it. I’m confused how this entire technology is going to work when we all have years of having different text fields that are different.

Edit Found It (at least I think this is the same issue): How Can Designers Turn Off "Moment Details?"

Oh my! I just can’t help thinking that these sorts of “features” really need more thorough real-world testing before they go live. I’m sure this seemed like a good idea to someone, but seriously… it doesn’t take a lot of imagination to see it going terribly wrong.

I can’t wait to see all of the invitations to Harry’s Quinceañera, and then we can attend his Bridal Shower and his Bachelorette Party… Oh my!
