I’ve been grouping them together in collections, but am not able to sort them in a way that makes it easy for me to find things. Like at least have the alphabetical order actually work.

You can make store categories with all the products of one design in one category.
I did not know you could add your own categories to your stores, absolute game changer. I was using collections which ended up being not as helpful lol
Eventually I found out that there is no reason for me to put my designs on the vast majority of products here. (Because the products are not good sellers). Only a few products really work for my situation, so I have started to concentrate on those products and to simply ignore many of the options available.
