I have searched the Technical Issues forum for simliar topics but can’t find anything so this is my problem. I have several cross sell!event suite. For some reason, some products which I have added show up in their recommended view slot while others (identical products) dont’t. Why is that happening. The other issue is related. i am unable to create a new cross sell!event suite for a similar product group. Same invitation size, same product type, everything the same. But it won’t allow the creation to occur as a cross sell/event suite. I can create a collection with basic parameters but woud like to know if there is a glitch in the Create Collection function or is this somehow a problem unique to me.
Your products need to be assigned to the marketplace department that is applicable to the slot you’re trying to place them in. To see which dept. the slot requires, click on the title of the slot and you’ll see: 'Matching results from: ’ . Whatever is listed there is the correct department required by that slot. Edit the details of your product to match.
As for cross-sell, the products you mentioned don’t qualify as a cross-sell. To see what DOES qualify as a cross-sell collection, look under ‘Edit Occasion & Type’ in your collection. Click and scroll through each of the different types and you’ll see an exact description of what kind of products are suitable for each type.

You might be right because issues with migrating to the new collection system. Ill be back if I find out otherwise. thanks for your help.

After several revisions and many attempts to correct the problem, the outcome is that it works for some prodcts and for others not so I guess I just have to live with a broken collection issue.
