So I have this Collection with various matching products. The system, however, thinks the Zazzle Marketplace “needs attention” and only show two of the 9 products in the actual Collection.
When I view the other 7 products (on their product pages) the Collection don’t show being in a Collection.
The first two products in the collection are the only two products the system recognizes.
I am having a similar issue. I have a wedding collection that is showing my wedding invitations as a “bonus” item and showing nothing for an invitation and telling me it is required to add an invitation or the collection won’t be listed. The invitation does not show up on the dropdown list for me to choose from and won’t let me add it. I deleted it from the collection then tried to add it again by clicking specifically on the invitation square and instead of adding it there, it stuck it back to the “bonus” item.
I’ve noticed the same thing happening. But if I change the 2nd designation from, say, “cross-sell” to “similar style/theme”, all the products will show up again. Even though I really wanted to put it under the other (1st choice of mine) “type”. Grrr…
In order for the product to be added to that slot it needs to be in the same Category. It’s asking for a Wedding Invitation, and your product is just a generic Invitation (Invitations & StationeryI > Invitations & Announcements).
Try updating the product category to a Wedding Invitation.
Speaking of collection visibility, I created a new collection yesterday, and its only visible on desktop OS, not on Android OS. It seems the new system takes longer to index on Android and iOS.
I think I figured this out today. When in “cross sell”, only the products that are not discontinued (or the color/option/etc. you chose is out of stock) are shown. If you view it in another option, like “different styles”, everything is shown, whether it’s out of stock/discontinued or not. But if you go into those products that are out of stock & choose another option that is in stock, that product will show up in “cross sell” once it reindexes.
Huh, so this actually is a bug. Or, there are more than one invitation in these Collections. That would explain why the system prefers different styles over cross sell. Even though the invitations are using the same elements the system has no way of knowing that.
Thanks for the help @Marcia .
I’ve got a similar error for one collection (Cross-Sell / Event Suite is chosen) for which I have two variations for invitations, but I’m given the flag that there is no invitation and therefore the collection isn’t available in the Zazzle Marketplace or Zazzle Email.
I never had this particular technical issue occur when I did maintenance on my collections after they migrated to the new system. But, today I made two new collections to fix a stretched image cover bug and then it happened. I’m very confused with it. I have 14 different products in one of my collections and it only shows me just a few of them when I’m in edit view. There’s no way I can manage the product’s placing in the collection if I can’t even see them in edit view. Maybe it will update itself later?
@WHS_Designs have you made sure that the invitation is on the correct category for the cross sell? If you click in the slot where the invitation is - see which ‘Matching results from’ is being shown then change your invitation category to match that? I had one where it showed up as a bonus but as soon as I changed it’s category - it appeared
UPDATE! I had the collections on “cross sell” which was not initially my intention. I switched them to “similar theme” and now I am able to reorder the products in the collection
