I can’t figure out what the difference is between a label and a tag or how and why I’d use them. If I used them, how would they benefit others? Would others run a search for a label or would they search for a tag? Which would they choose and why? Furthermore, if only a few people use labels/tags, wouldn’t this mean people searching on them would miss a great deal of information?
So, a few real life examples of labels and tags would be good.

I read the article, which is what brought me here. I suppose that, ultimately, I’m still not sure who is supposed to tag things: the person posting or the person reading? Is it like a bookmark where a person can find all the posts they’ve read and tagged on a specific subject, or is it for the person writing a post to let people know what’s in the post?
@Barbara Labels are for the first post in the thread, and it is for the thread topic. For example, if you are posting a Show Me thread about blankets, the label for that thread would be Blankets. Tags are like keywords that you already use on Zazzle for your products. So if you post a reply in a Show Me thread about blankets with one of your own blankets, the tags would be the tags that you would use on your product page to describe the design, like Butterfly or Colorful or whatever.
You can also “tag” a person here in your thread similar to how you would on social media just by typing the at symbol (@) followed by their username.

Strange. It didn’t like the “@” part unless the space between it and the next word was deleted. In doing so, it appears that tagging property was annihilated.
