Congratulations! It’s always so exciting when a brand new design sells so quickly, isn’t it?

@Cat  thanks! Oh, yes, it’s exciting and almost unbelievable. It really had only two views when it was sold yesterday, plus it’s not a third-party sale. It’s not in any collection. Well, I just wanted to share it because sometimes we debate these kinds of aspects in sales, collections, product covers, collection covers, and then situations like this break many of our thoughts.

Thanks @Wildart

@ZAZ-TD

Thanks! I didn’t experience my first sale until a few months later, and I didn’t find out about my sales until a few more months after that. I had sold 8 rubber stamps in about 6 months, but I didn’t know it, haha! Well, now things are slow, too slow for me, but these recent product sales give me a little bit of faith that I’ll have good sales again. Hang in there, I’m sure you’ll get your first sale soon!

CONGRATS MORE SELLS TO COME… WAIT AND SEE

Another new sale of a recent product, only 9 days after creating it, without a cover photo or being part of any collection, since I haven’t finished all the products yet. So, are the cover photo and collections really not that essential? Obviously, more data would be needed to draw conclusions, but this gives us something to think about.

I have a hunch (with no data to back this up) that Zazzle’s algorithm features new products and bumps them up in the search for some period of time. As I said, I don’t have any data to back that up, I just know that I get sales on brand new products often enough to feel like it isn’t just random. If it sells quickly, it often continues to do well. It’s all such a mystery!

You’re right, in the end it’s all speculation, but it really makes you think when we develop our strategies.

Ah @Cat  , just out of curiosity. Did you notice if your products were referenced by third parties? Many times that third party is Z. In my case, both are none

Well, I’ve only had one sale of a new item recently, and it was a “none” in terms of referrals. I don’t know what it means. Maybe it is all just random, but it sure feels like a gift when something brand new sells!

@Mariholly  @Cat I have the same hunch. I think the boost lasts less than a week but it’s definitely happening which I find quite positive.
