Is there a way to track where a customer came from in a referral sale? For example, did they click on my design on Pinterest, Facebook, etc.? I would find it helpful if I knew which platform was giving me the best return on my time.
This only applies if you’re NOT in Zazzle’s Promoter Program, and it won’t work retrospectively:
If you include a tracking code on your link that indicates where you shared / pinned it then you will be able to tell where your successes come from.
A tracking code is added after your referral (aka associate) id in the link, like this: https://zazzle.com/…?rf=nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn&tc=your_tracking_code
It’s up to you what you use for your tracking codes, just make sure you only use letters, digits and underscores.
When someone follows such a link and you successfully make a referral sale or sales, then you’ll see the tracking code mentioned in your Referral History Report in the first column of each such sale.
I tend to use tracking codes that say where the link was posted, the theme of the design and the date I pinned/shared the link. For example: &tc=pntrst_wedding_stationery_093021
Hmmmm… That does help. Thank you for your response. I’m part of the promoter program so I guess I’m out of luck. It seems like a crazy way to do business, right? I would love to be able to tell where my conversions are coming from. Thanks again!
