Resizing the text box is like stretching a rubber band way too much

Now, I understand after reading some old threads that different creatives use different tools (ipads/tablets, phones, and laptops), but is there a hack to having the box freeze where you pull it? I’m having some trouble with mine where it snaps back, or acts like a rubber band and is flexing for someone.
I can pull it one way, and while I’m holding onto it, it’s playing jump rope. I don’t know if this is usual behavior, just that it’s frustrating to me more than I remember it being. Hopefully customers are not feeling like this too.

@LauraLee This sounds similar to an issue I reported a little while ago. It’s been sent to the tech team so hopefully it will be fixed soon!

Ahh! Thank you for reporting it. I couldn’t find yours, because I didn’t think to call it the “Snapping” feature. Great!

That known bug is probably what’s annoying you, too. In my experience, if you set the size of the text box right away with a quick first click, it’s manageable. It works fine with a mouse, but on a tablet, it drives you crazy.
I don’t know how to describe it exactly, but I try to get the width I want immediately with one quick click. That has worked quite reliably for me so far. On the other hand, if you hesitate or pause to think about where the text box should end, it feels like an invisible magnet is pulling the edges wherever it wants.
Sorry, it’s hard to explain properly. But quick and decisive with a single click usually does the trick.
