Wow, I have a large website www.antiqueimages.com and half of the feeds have completely stopped working (I am using Feedzy and Zazzle RSS syntax based onyour original guide.
Can someone please confirm that the rss link should now be as follows beginning with www (example using my store name)
Like thousands of others, I am doing my best to send folks through to Zazzle on my website. To do so I rely on RSS feeds. It would be extremely helpful to update and inform us of these new RSS guidelines in a fresh 2026 version (previous one is 10 years old - unless I am missing a link).
I’d like to update my whole website, but would deeply appreciate confirmation of this change and any other significant RSS syntax modifications before I do all of that work!
Just to clarify a little further. I was previously using “feed.zazzle.com” and almost all those feeds are now broken (they previously worked). The only ones that are still working are ones that point to collections. All the department, query string and category feeds using “feed” as the first word in the URL do not work. I have changed a few of them from “feed” to “www” and they are working. I did that after reading a suggestion from a community member in one of these chats - however there was never any confirmation from Zazzle that this is the right approach. I would really like to see a nice clear instruction on this before I revise hundreds of pages. And it would be so helpful for all of us if Zazzle would update the nice document created in 2016 that seems to have remained unchanged since (despite apparent changes in the preferred RSS syntax.)
Of course I don’t know what you are using (I never heard of Feedzy but will google it now) or how you did it but I will visit your site in a bit to maybe learn more. So far I can tell a culprit could be the parameter pt (which stands for “product type”) which is maybe outdated, meaning not supported anymore by Zazzle but I wouldn’t know for sure. I hope Fiona will maybe respond to my post after the weekend (fingers crossed).
The plot thickens. In my experience, it appears that some collections feeds will only work with the original “feed.zazzle.com” url. http://feed.zazzle.com/collections/XXXXXXXXXXXX/rss
Whereas the ones that require the name of your store (categories, departments limited to your shop items, query strings, etc, only work with www.feed.com urls. For example https://www.zazzle.com/store/yourstore/rss?qs=cat+cute.
Something seems to be going on under the hood that we can’t see, and that contradicts our previous RSS syntax guidance, and so we really need some fresh info from Zazzle so that we can all be the good little referers that we strive to be!
Thanks! Yes, I was a long-term user of Mark Highton Ridley’s Nifty Tools. I’m now part of the Zazzle Ambassador program focused on self-referals and do not want “ref” codes in any of my RSS generated links, so I made a change to using an RSS aggregator / feed display plugin on my website (very easy to use once installed) because at some point after an update or a change it became difficult for me to use Nifty it automatically generating ref codes. (Can’t remember the background on this). I tested both Feedzy and WP RSS aggregator and settled on Feedzy because it was a touch easier to have it look right (although the other plugin also had some great features). I am using a paid version in order to have it free of ref codes that belong to others.
@SwissVillage Oh, I bet Zazzle is moving part of their site to new servers (which have different server machine settings) and depending on how the DNS kicks in for us the display results vary for us - it either works with the old or new settings. I‘m just guessing/assuming here, I don’t really have a clue, lol.
@SwissVillage Oh, I see. I have studied the pricing of Feedzy (https://themeisle.com/plugins/feedzy-rss-feeds/#pricing) last night and it’s a bit steep for me since I‘m not even am a Bronze seller yet. On top of it I actually prefer linking with the RF ID included because I have rather less than nothing when I refer people to Zazzle and I haven’t really created enough of my own products yet and now many of my older listings are not optimized anymore either since the interface for customers has changed and many of my designs are now rather confusing for customers to use because it prompts them to replace my images and they can’t see my notes/labels anymore. I don’t have the editing feature (like some more experienced Zazzle creators do) either and so I have to redo/replace part of my inventory now, sigh. Or just have those listings age out because they won’t sell anymore anyhow now.
But thanks to your reply because I know now that Feedzy also offers a free version. I will grab it tonight at WordPress.org so I can play around some more. There is always something new to learn for me, rofl.
I would also love an updated RSS guide. I keep referring to the old one and translating it as best I can but 3 category feeds I recently made using the old syntax but including store/storename/ are all invalid and don’t work. I will see if switching the feed to www works. Thanks, I’d forgotten about that tip.
