I’m on the latest Chrome and Mac, and I’ve discovered that in one of my stores: Grandma’s Closet Collections page shows a lot of my collections with a store link within the collections, going straight to my membership page: Membership page and not back to my store page. This is a problem that I hope someone will fix soon! I need to be sharing collections, and I can’t do that with this problem. TIA
It’s also happening in this store too! Blossom Bride Design Collections page. The same thing, it’s sending the customer back to the Membership page instead of the store page.
I clicked on one of your collections, I couldn’t see a store link? But I did notice the collection didn’t have a banner.
Okay, now I’m noticing that it’s all my stores. It’s when you’re in the Collection Manager page , not the public collection itself. Here:
And when you open that link, to share a collection, like this:
the by 3Cattails goes back to a Membership page and not the store page. Is that supposed to be happening?? I can’t think of why it should be going there, but that’s what it’s doing. Hope this makes more sense now.Mine does the same, but I thought it’s always been like that?
@LauraLee can confirm
When you are in edit collection and share the “link”, if you hover over the store page - the corresponding URL directs you to your mbr page.
Doesn’t happen if you view collection via “View on Zazzle” and share the link that way.
eg html via edit collection share
verses html via View on Zazzle" link share
If it’s always been like that, that’s really odd. Why in the world would it not go back to the store page? That just makes no sense at all to me. That’s not what that link says that it’s for. It should say, “Member’s Page” instead of our Store Name. That’s confusing is all I’m saying.
I don’t know why they couldn’t have put “Member’s page” instead of our store name…but, I do remember that the view counts were for Zazzle, and not us though, and maybe it had something to do with that…? idk.
Yep, collections are created and “owned” by the Member, and can be displayed in select Stores.
The confusion is somewhat understandable. We’ve discussed this internally in the past. I’ll pass this along as feedback.
Is a collection banner required?
I thought it was? But I could definitely be wrong about that.
I never really thought about it, but now that you pointed it out, yes, it’s confusing.
So, it’s been a little while and I’m coming back to this - I’m just reading Scott’s note.
But anyway, back to this point, the box says “Connect & Promote” - and the store link takes someone back to their member page with not really an explanation as to why it does this. *In other words, it’s telling us to “connect and promote” there using that box - Yet, that seems poorly worded, “Connect & Promote”, when in essence, that’s not truly optimum promoting, is it?? I mean, idk, and I really would like to know if my membership page is ultimately a better page to send a customer. Maybe I’m missing something.
