Social sharing buttons beneath products

Spoiler

Hi-

Is anyone else having trouble seeing the little social sharing buttons beneath your products this morning? I am using  a Safari Browser.

…and p.s.  what does “spolier” mean?

I don’t see Spoiler anywhere, but yes, the social sharing buttons are nowhere to be found. Also, I made a new product and want to add it to an already existing collection…no button for that, either.

I’m using Foxfire browser.

Thank you for your reply!

Yes, the social media buttons are missing, but I do see another way to share our products. When in product view in your store, you can select the “share” option on the lower right of the product and all the social media options are there. You can also click on the actions option on the lower left in product view and there you can add the item to a collection. If you have the product opened, there is a curved arrow in the upper left of the product image. Click on that arrow and the social media sharing option is there.   I am using Chrome browser. Not sure how any of this looks on other browsers.

Editing my earlier post, the curved arrow sharing option appears in the upper LEFT of the product image when you have the product open.

Thank you! It never occurred to me to look at our back section to find everything. HTML is available there for posting our products within threads.

P.S. How on earth did “Spoiler” show up?

I see the sharing arrow at the top left of the image, but there’s no way now to copy the html code to embed the product into a blog/website.

I FOUND IT:

The little chain icon that allows you to go “copy link” or select “html code” is on your product page if you click the “SHARE”

Thank you so much!  I thought I was going blind.

I hope they add it back to the display page. If it’s just one product you want to share, the back end is okay, but if you want to share two or more products in a thread, it’s way faster to put each display page in a separate tab and then run through the tabs.

I agree.  Please add it back!

I have the same problem with no solution,  two days ago the buttons came back only to disappear again yesterday evening, I’m no longer able to advertise on social media.

@Nicole_L   On the product display page, use the curved arrow at top left of the product image. In the back end, use Bina18’s solution by using the dropdown and then click Share. (However, having all of it on the product page would be optimal.)

The  spoiler tag in the forums is probably more suited to a forum which might, for example, feature book summaries or TV show plots or something. You use it to hide your info so that the readers of the thread don’t prematurely learn how the season ends because your post gave away some important details.

As an affiliator I need to be able to access HTML for products of other designers so that I can post that HTML on my postcard blog. Is there some way to create HTML so I can keep making my postcard blog? Obviously, I can’t access the backend for any product which is not mine. Also, if this is going to be a twelve step process, I am going to abandon the blog. I just need the HTML link back on the product page.

The missing chainlink on the product display page was likely a programming oversight, which they’ll remedy at some point in the near future. I doubt it was done on purpose.

@Windy   I’ve seen spoiler alerts on book review sites, but I just searched here and couldn’t find a button anywhere for it. Very strange.

Thanks, it works! :slightly_smiling_face:

Maybe it’s a secret, but …

Spoiler

the button for spoiler looks like a hazard sign. A black triangle with exclamation point. This is found directly to the left of the HTML button in the drop down menu for editing forum posts.
