Special (i.e. Alt code) characters are now grossly oversized in previously (and correctly) published designs (notably, my pens and napkin bands, but also anywhere where the heart symbol is used, throwing off the original placement and look).
Example: the heart symbol (which is achieved by holding down the [Alt] + [3] keys)
(correct)
(incorrect)
ETA: this is also happening with other special characters. Note the white box around the zodiac symbol on the link below … that was not there before.
Yes, I sent an email about it when I noticed the enlarged text on a multi product purchase last night.
What I initially saw was the enlarged thumbnails on some of multiple designs in a collection. Then when I hovered over a design in the back end the design looked normal when it was enlarged but once I removed the hover, the enlarged text was stuck once the thumbnail was back to normal.
@PAZP thanks for chiming in. I went to another computer just to confirm that it wasn’t just happening on my laptop. also, (and you may have noticed this), it happens in the backend thumbnail views as well as on the individual product pages (but not consistently – sometimes on the zoomed in view only, sometimes on the regular “zoomed out” view).
I now see on the phone app that this issue is making two lines out of what was one line of text which is throwing off the entire design. It looks horrible.
There is now a problem with the stretched/enlarged special characters in my texts. I originally used a cross, but now it is showing up with a black ugly box around it…and it is now not properly centered. Help!
I have a few designs with an airplane symbol. When I edit the design it shows the font as Blooming Elegant Sans when I change it to use Zazzle’s symbol font (the one with nautical and travel symbols, which doesn’t include this particular airplane), it shows the proper symbol in the design tool but it shows a box in the preview.
