As I mentioned elsewhere, I had no idea what I was doing when I first came here yesterday to the new format. It asked for a username and I assumed that I would use the same name (my store’s name) as I have used since 2009. But for some reason it would not accept it. It would let me type in 3/4 of the name and than would let me go no further. This made me think there might be a limit on the number of letters that can be used. That was confirmed in my mind when I then tried a shorter username and it was accepted. Problem is, I did not really want that name. I was just trying to find something that would work. So, the question is: can I now change the username? Can I use my store name as I always have (whatawonderfulworld)? Also, I have two stores . One is all mine and the other is my husbands photos with my designs and I always kept them under the whatawonderfulworld umbrella but still separate. Is it possible to still do so and would it just be a matter of using two different usernames. What I’ve always used is whatawonderfulworld and KDSphotography. But all communication etc. for both stores goes through whatawonderfulworld. So to recap: Can I have a re-do and get my username back to my store name and can I then have a separate user name for my other store, KDSphotography?
As far as I’m aware, the username cannot be changed. I’m still seeking clarity on this.
Also, we’ve moved away from users posting under multiple different store names or member profiles. One thing that some users have done to help identify their store(s) is to add a signature to their post. This would allow you to identify which stores are yours. You can find more information about this by going to the main community page then using the Search bar near the middle of the page.
Thanks, Scot. I apologize for all the questions but it is going to take me awhile to figure things out. I am not sure I understand what you mean by adding a signature to a post. I thought that my icon/photo and store name would appear at each post and that would identify me. So, if I want to post a new design I have done for my husband’s store, how does one add a signature and what does it look like? I will continue doing searches for my questions in the main community page as you have suggested, but right now I do not even know for sure the questions to ask or what some of the terminology means (“add tags”??? macros??? etc.) Thanks again for your response.
If you look at my reply here you will see I have a line at the bottom, which links to my website, facebook and instagram page. That is what Scott is referring to. This signature will appear in all your posts once set up. You can add your own by going into your profile settings. The signature option can be found in the “personal information” section of the settings.
To get to your profile settings click on your avatar photo which is at the very top right corner. Once clicked a little menu will open which includes “My Settings”.
You will need html to link to your store as below
<a href="your link here">Store Name here</a>
@Scott - Maybe it is possible to eliminate a user if they are unhappy with their user name choice. Then they could essentially create a new account and start fresh… just a thought…

@Shar-Ken Yes you copy all of the HTML code above. You will have to enter your store URL between the “” where it says “your link here” and name the link where it says “store name here”.

Sorry, not that familiar with all these html codes… Can you please explain what you man exactly with your store URL? Is that only the number-code?
@NPL It looks like you managed to work it out on your own. I can see your signature which leads to your store. 
J32Design, I have tried and tried to do my signature by following the instructions you provided up above but I keep getting the message that it is invalid as well as it is not the correct signature . I know I must be doing something wrong and misinterpreting your directions (not hard for me since I do not understand codes and all that “stuff”. So, what is wrong with it? I am trying to get to “@whatawonderful world” for my signature. Thank you if you can still offer some help.
