Sudden Extreme Spike in Views. Anyone else experiencing this?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently seeing an extreme spike in views on my Zazzle store (hundreds of users in a very short time), but no increase in sales or real engagement.

This actually happened once before about a month ago, but not nearly as extreme as this time.

Has anyone experienced something similar today ? What could be causing this; bot/crawler traffic, indexing, or something else?

I’d really appreciate any insights!

I have a lot of views but no sales. I have a t-shirt Peace for Ukraine that I bought myself and designed myself and always wear it, imagine that t-shirt has something like 99 views and never been sold. I personally have no idea what’s behind the views spike. On the opposite side I have products a few not many, a beautiful mug that had only 1 view. I will be interested in reading the replies to what’s the strange cause of many views.

@Nisuris  yes. since the 16th of March, my daily linkovers have spiked into the four-digit range.

on my Benable account, I also see the return of visitors from China and Singapore (after they were quiet for some time). so not a coincidence.

no corresponding spike in sales.

so probably bots.

Same here Singaporean bots are in action.

From my personal experience, sales are down when I have a spike in visitors. It might be a coincidence, but I have noticed that.

@tsikona   and @Nisuris  Where do you see these views with the countries? I’d like to see them but don’t know where they are.

In google analytics.
