I think the message on this product page is really confusing and could lead buyers to think all table lamps are discontinued:
I was checking on some of my table lamp designs and the pages came up as “this product has been discontinued”. However it was actually just that particular style (i.e. the base color or the lamp trim color) which was no longer available. I had “all options” available for the customer (not "this style only). With this message appearing, customers might not realize they could click on the “details” arrow to switch to a different base/trim and still buy the lamp with my design on the shade.
It would be great if they would move to what is left available instead of removing from the marketplace or this mixed message.
I’m getting clarity on this for you now.
Unfortunately these are being discontinued in the coming months. At this stage we’re just depleting the available stock.
Thank you for the clarification, James. 😀
Thanks for the info. I suspected they might be since the choices had become so limited. I’m really sorry they are being discontinued. I hope there will be something else to replace them.
Thank you for the information. But hopefully new lamp types will become available.
Will the lamp shade and all lamps be discontinued?
How will available stock be sold if the lamps come up with a ‘discontinued’ message? ???
Thank you, but I already deleted all of the lamps I had uploaded now they are not available anymore as a product to sell can no longer choose them.
In the future if this happens with another product, you can go in and change your product display details to an option that is still available.
edit product details > product merchandising > change options
Thank you, this information is good to know. I wish I had not deleted the lamps now they were a good seller for me. I hope they get them back as a product especially the lamp shade. Again, thank you.
True. I only meant that if many Zazzlers don’t do this, a customer will bring up a product, think it’s discontinued, and a sale will be lost. The customer wouldn’t know that changing some of the options might make a product available. ![]()
I agree I would also assume that good point.
