If the user clicks on one of these other design “templates” from within the design editor - which then loads it onto the canvas - does that count as a View for that other product?

Good question…. I have a few of my own > here’s what I’m trying to figure out If a customer comes to my landing page from my ambassador link, and they start editing my invitation with their details, but then they see that new “Templates” sidebar in the editor and click it… they start browsing other designers’ templates and end up choosing one of those instead. Who actually gets the view? Who gets the referral? Does it $ get split? Does it turn into a 3rd‑party sale? Does the creator who brought the customer in still get credit for the sale or the view?

No change to how referrals work. Choosing another Designer’s design from the Template panel inside the “customizer” would be same as if they clicked on it from the MP or one of the scrolls on your product page, etc.. So if you brought someone in on a “clean” link, no referral as it’s not your product. I would imagine that for the other Designer, it’s a 3rdP sale even though the Referrer is not eligible to receive the credit for it. I think that’s how it’s always worked with the AP?
If you brought the person in with a RF# link, then doesn’t matter if they click on and choose another “template”, you’d get the flat 15% on anything they buy, yours or not.
From what I have seen, the other designs shown on the Templates panel have nothing to do with the orig design you clicked on to Personalize, instead they are a mix of the top designs for that product type, just like the 60 other things on the “landing” page for a product. It’s just yet more airplay for designs already ranking well. So I want to know if clicking them from the Template panel adds to their view count thus increasing their ranking & “popularity” even more.

Let’s try it out with some own things. I can’t figure it out it would. The view counts with the header of the page, feels not this if you just load inside a page the one template. But, if you change something or add text, and then change the template, you will find this product in this “saved designs” area on your backend.
Not sure what the templates do. I just see some new views on really old, long time never seen used templates.
