For the past two days, I’ve been having a template issue where they all seem to be connected to each other (even though I’ve set each text template as a separate template). So, if I change the text in one template several templates — and sometimes every template — ends up with the same text. It’s annoying and time consuming.
I’ve done that several times. But when I publish my design and re-enter it to revise the design, the templates are all connected again. I don’t trust that anything I’ve created over the last two days has templates that work properly.
At the moment, I’ve corrected my products and reposted them. For me, this issue is happening on posters. I don’t know if it’s happening on other products because I’ve been concentrating on posters for the past two weeks.
Hi, Mark. The templates (at least on posters) are buggy again today. I just fixed the templates on this poster yesterday, and they are all linking together again today.
I see what you saying. I just tested your example and noticed that four of the text templates are missing from the “Edit” panel.
Selecting “We Listen to the Speaker” in the “Edit” panel, also selects two ‘missing’ text boxes in the design area.
Selecting “Sit Properly” also selects the other two ‘missing’ text boxes.
When I customize one of these text boxes, the other two update automatically, as if they share the same URL parameter. I tried creating a test template, but it didn’t happen. However, you mentioned it happens after publishing the design, which is concerning as other designs might be affected too! I hope it gets fixed soon.
Yes, this has been an ongoing problem since they implemented the new design tool. I reported it at least once through the feedback form. A workaround that usually works for me is to turn on the first template, then click in the blank space on the sides, (deselecting everything), then click on the next text and turn that on, then click off, etc.
