Text Preview (& print?) Issues - Stroke Related?

I have now had this happen on a couple different font styles. So far it has happened on ‘Spicy Rice’ and ‘Melody Alt’ at least.  The font looks fine on the editor, but the preview causes these weird ‘drips’ in the previews.  And it also is there on the product image downloads.  So I’m really hoping it does not actually show in the actual product print??

It may be stroke related? I remember seeing something previously in technical about stroke issues that were causing slightly different problems.  And I have an example here of the same fonts that does not show the problem without a stroke, but does have the problem when there is a stroke.

Hey @jophb ,

Can you please share links to the products in question?

Thanks,

I saw the same issue when using Spicy Rice Font with stroke recently. ( strongly hoping it would not be on the final printed product…)

Hey @jophb ,

Thank you for the examples. I have reported the issue to the team and I will let you know when I hear back.

@Mark  @Fantabuloustef  @jophb    I’m having the same issue with font Pan Am. Today is January 10th 2026 and in the editor it looks fine but the preview shows the letter l distorted (a weird up strike). The preview for stroke 25 displays fine, anything above does not (it just gets more noticeable - see screenshot for stroke 200). I have not published that product yet so I can’t post a link.

I’m not sure this problem has been completely resolved. Like you I still have it on some fonts above a certain stroke thickness value. I ‘m now trying to avoid it, either by using another font, or stroke thickness, or just creating my own text in another tool when I’m too unsatisfied with the result ( not personalizable by the user … )

@Fantabuloustef  Thanks for your reply. Yes, I thought about it too to just post it as an image but than I decided against it because many people come to Zazzle because they can edit the text.

Yes, it is definitely not solved. I’ve now also seen it on ‘Melly Script’, ‘Melody Alt’ (still is doing it from my original post above), and both ‘Register’ 1 & 2.

Hey @MOM ,

Thank you for flagging. I have followed up with the team on the issue, and I have included your example. I will let you know when there is an update.

This issue still exists, here is the font Poiret One with a stroke of 200. (the points stay visible until you set the stroke to 100 then they no longer appear)

Hi @jophb ,

I’m very sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue here. We don’t have an update on this issue as of yet. However, I forwarded your latest example to our engineers who will continue to investigate. Thank you for your patience!

Thanks @Padraig , I’m really hoping something happens soon. It has been almost a year now that this has been happening.
