The new Copy/paste for tablets doesn’t seem to work for text or groupings

@Scott , you seem to have locked my prior thread re: no copy/paste prematurely.  My last comment wasn’t addressed.

I now see that copy/paste is working with images.  But I can’t get it to work with text or groupings.  A long tap that would bring up the menu just causes the text to annoyingly move.  No menu is triggered. FWIW I’m using Safari on a recent iPad Pro.

It works for me , for texts and groups on iPad Pro 12’9 second generation with iPadOS 17.7.10 

I also tried on my friend’s iPad which is an iPad Pro 12’’9 6th generation with iPad OS 26.1 and it works too. Maybe a specific product problem…

Can you provide more information, such as the OS version that you’re running? A link to a product that exhibits this behavior might also be helpful.

I was delighted to see the menu pop up :smiley: yesterday. iPad Pro user here, (we’ve crossed paths before :waving_hand:), using Chrome with software update 26.3.1

Just tried Safari and menu appears :+1:

It’s now working for me with text and groupings.  Maybe there was some sort of lag issue.  
IPad 12.9” M4 2025, Safari 18.5
