Has anyone else received complaints recently about throw pillow quality as of late? I have noticed a lot of cancellations of throw pillows as of late. I recently worked on a custom design for a customer to match her living room, and she just messaged me to let me know how happy she was with the design and colors but how disappointed she was with the quality of the pillows:
“I’m so very disappointed in the quality of the pillows. It just breaks my heart. I loved the design, but the pillows are puckered, the corners are more rounded than pointed and my company is coming on Sunday. I’m embarrassed at the quality; these will not be on display. I’m heartbroken that these have to go back!!! It’s really too bad. The design was perfect for my couch and colors
”
In looking at her pictures, I can understand her perspective with the threads, the puckering and the seams not aligning - these don’t look like the quality of the pillows I’ve seen in other clients’ photos over the years.
With this information, combined with an unusual increase in cancellations of pillows for me as of late, I’m wondering if other designers have had similar experiences recently.
