when desiging with tiling i start out with my image exactly in the centre, but as soon as i choose tiling the image jumps to the right, off centre. In this cse f.i.: I chose mirror tiling, But when trying to change it with the arrows to get the image back in the centre again, the tiling goes weird and i get tiles with white spaces in between.I tried re-sizing to hopefully get it to look more centred, but that doesn’t work.
i have been having the same issue: Colored designs leaving a white space even when there is no break in the pattern. The basic tile pattern shows as off centre
I can move the tile around either by clicking and dragging it or using the keyboard arrow keys when it’s selected. What you shouldn’t do is resize it using the -/+ scale options. Only resize using the tile size options in the tiling menu. This is what can leave white space or make the tiles overlap (handy for some designs, but usually best avoided).
You can avoid a lot of this by using the “centered” tile option, as that works differently.
So glad I found this feed. I am currently having an issue with ‘half brick’ and ‘half drop’ designs. Not sure if it is related - I know my tiles are correct, and have reached out to Zazzle for help - with any luck they’ll have a fab solution! xx
I want to bring attention back to this issue. The vast majority of tiling situations would require a symmetrical solution, which is not being provided. It makes the end product look much more professional if the tiling is centred, which means more clicks and purchases. Please reconsider updating the tiling settings to make them create centred patterns please.
Id like to add in addition to this when this fails to work …and I figured it out…
When all else fails go under tiling and click one of the tile box designs…then where you see the measurements on the right Width Height…there is a tiny link icon in the middle …click that…
this will allow you to MOVE the design without creating all the line separations
