I know this topic has been brought up numerous times, but in light of Zazzle’s push to gain traction in the Wedding market, I’d like to emphasize the need for updated fonts in these categories::
Signature fonts with access to glyphs … (at the moment, these are sadly limited)
Modern Sans and Sans Serif families that include various weights and italics
If they get new fonts, chances are they’ll buy a “package” like it appears they did last time. A bunch of new fonts just showed up one day. As always, I’d like to see a tall font with body to pair it with other fonts; modern, less bookish serif and more stylish sans serifs, legible classy script fonts.
I agree. I believe fonts specifically for wedding invitations and stationery would benefit sales. These items have substantial customization. With customization we have only Zazzle fonts to use. Besides the obvious dates, names of bride and groom, and venues, one cannot anticipate how the customer would like to have the general wording. Designers create layouts that can accommodate substantial change in the wording.
In addition the decorative design and the font have to work together. And minimal formal designs depend on the font.
Cards and stationery other than wedding category would also benefit.
I think that designers would like to know does Zazzle believe that there should be such new dedicated fonts or not be.
totally! we need elegant calligraphy and scripts and more of them. Also more distressed and funky ones for typography designs. Ours are old, tired and overused.
I can’t kudos this enough. Absolutely. Just a handful of updated stylish fonts could be an absolute game changer. There was a survey about fonts that went out last year or the year before maybe and I was so super hopeful there would be some movement there but nothing came of it. This is probably the tippy tip top no. 1 by far item on my Zazzle wish list.
Just a note about my understanding about fonts. It is not possible to upload your own font for customization as is done for invitations for example. Zazzle would not have the font used and would also need to obtain permission to use it. You can create a design with your own fonts in graphic design software and upload to Zazzle. The issue is the range of customizable fonts which are in Zazzle edit and which Zazzle has the rights to use.
