I have recently noticed since the start of August my earnings show one amount on the Transaction Earnings page and a lower amount under the Royalty History page. It seems to be happening with every sale I made the past few weeks. Example: Earnings Summary for a postcard sale shows $0.05 and yet the same postcard shows on the Royalty History page as $0.04, I know it is only a penny difference but with the Holiday sales coming up, a penny less per sale can add up real quick. There is no explanation that I can find but if I am missing the reason for this or it is a tech issue please kindly explain why this keeps happening.
This was reported here earlier in August I believe. Zazzle Mods responded on that feed, and said that it’s something they are working on fixing. But it’s just an display issue and they said it’s actually the same financially. It was something along the lines of one is cutting off the additional amount and one is rounding up or something. So it might be $0.0499 financially, and one report shows it as just $0.04 and one rounds it up to $0.05
Same. My guess is that it’s a rounding issue. The transaction details report rounds correctly, but the payment report always rounds down (i.e. it truncates rather than rounding.)
Example from a recent sale of mine
Net Sales: $1.15
Royalty Rate: 9.5%
Royalty = $0.10925
The transaction details report correctly rounds 10.925 cents to 11 cents, but the payment is only for 10 cents.
