I have still been tweeting Zazzle products on Twitter and pinning them at the same time. Sometimes, I tweet my themed Pinterest boards featuring Zazzle products. I know that today’s announcement doesn’t mention Pinterest but I can’t help but wonder if it is next. I believe that businesses should promote themselves on as many social media sites as they can comfortably and coordinate between sites. Today’s announcement sounds like that may be unwelcome on Twitter. So, we may pull back from using Twitter even though it has worked well for us.
Okay, Twitter rescinded the ban in less than 24 hours.

I closed my personal twitter account years ago, but my store does have one and is set to auto post three times a day through dlvr.it. So for that reason, I pay close attention to what the “Chief Twit” is up to, and the policy changes. Especially yesterday’s (now scrapped) new policy about self promotion. As it turned out, it was only limiting FREE self-promotion to a handful of other social media platforms, it wasn’t limiting promos for zazzle products at all. Had zazzle been included in the list of platforms, I’m would consider opting in for PAID advertising, depending on the rates.
What happens with Twitter? I can’t post my Zazzle product link. It magically disappeared. Does anyone have the same problem as me?
I’m not a fan of Elon Musk and I’ve considered deleting my Twitter account.
