Upload Limit?

Hi–I enjoy the “Show Me” forum, but have gotten an error message “You have reached your upload limit of 1,500 images.”  I cannot find any information about upload limits on forums.  I may post as many as 5 products in the Show Me forum, but 3 is more common, and I seldom post there every day.  Is there an upload limit?  Is it per day, per month, all-time?  Have I been put in a time-out for excessive posting?  If so, when can I go back?  Thanks!

Yes, there is an upload limit to how many images total all-time you can upload to the forums. Used to be 1,000, apparently it’s now 1,500.  If you go over the limit you can’t upload more unless you go into your forum gallery and delete some previous images. This is why for the Show Me forum they recommend using the HTML code to display your item rather than uploading your own image. If you use the HTML provided it’s just fetching an image from Z’s server so doesn’t count as uploading your own.

Hi @ColsCreations  can you explain to someone who is so not tech savy how to use the HTML code (in basic language) and does it display a picture or just a link? On another note for any long time zazzlers, is the Show Me forum a pro or con to your shop?

Thanks for your answer.  Unfortunately,  I am a techno idiot.  I cannot find my “forum gallery.”  I searched for some old posts in “Show Me,” and found them, but could not find a way to delete them.  Can you give me a “Deleting for Dummies” instruction, please?

Go to any post you included an uploaded image in.
Click the image. (This opens it larger in what I call the gallery view.)
You’ll see “Hidden (Your Name)”

Click that. 
Now you’ll see all the images you’ve uploaded to the forums. 
Use the check boxes then “Image Options” –> “Delete All Checked Images”.

From your backend product grid, click Share and then the lower right icon that looks like a chain link for “link to this”.
In the pop-up window, copy the code in the HTML box.

Start a forum post or reply. 
Top right of toolbar is three little dots icon to “Expand toolbar”. Click that.
Click the HTML icon now on the toolbar.
Paste the code you copied into the box and click Save button.
Hit Preview. Ignore the error message at bottom of post and just hit Preview again.

Default displays like this:

but you can change it up by editing the html if you want to.
